About Us

Established in 2007 we began with one little girl who was incredibly shy...she was so shy that her hair hung in front of her face so she would not have to look at you...fast forward two or so months....we ran into her in pick n pay one afternoon and she was singing at the top of her lungs for the world to hear!! She became so confident and happy - it was truly magical to see.

We use our core values to encourage children to become confident, happy, kind-hearted children who go on to thrive at Nursery School as well in their future school careers.

In our almost 18 years we have helped MANY children develop a love of learning and school - their first steps of education are the most important for any child.

We accept up to 12 children at a time - which means that each child receives their individual attention.
The ages range from 22 months to the end of the year they turn four. This works incredibly well in a small group as the "older" children "help" the smaller children.  This helps the children to naturally learn about empathy, helpfulness as well as kindness.  The "younger" children then grow to become the "older" children - so it is full circle.
Little Scribbles Playschool is generally a feeder school for St. Stithians' Grade RR.

Each week (or two) we learn about a new theme:  The sea, dinosaurs, pets, space, my body, reptiles, birds, the Big 5, animals around the world etc.  Every day we participate in an art activity which corresponds to the theme of the week.  On Fridays, we do a fun baking activity which the children can take home to enjoy with their families:-)

We love music, singing songs, learning new poems, dancing, learning through play, puzzles, play dough, threading beads, peg boards, lego, fine-motor and gross-motor activities and sooooo much more!  You can imagine that our mornings are jam-packed and full of fun!
